1. Heavy rainfall exceeding 50mm in 24hours.
2. Strong winds exceeding 40km/hr and large waves exceeding 2.0 meters.

Expected Area :
1. Periods of Heavy rainfall: Coastal areas of Tanga, Dar es Salaam, Pwani, Lindi, Mtwara regions together with Unguja and Pemba Isles. Southern parts of Morogoro region, Mbeya, Njombe and Ruvuma regions.
2. Strong winds and Large Waves: Coastal areas of Tanga, Dar es Salaam, Pwani, Lindi, Mtwara regions together with Unguja and Pemba Isles.

This is due to presence of moderate Tropical Storm “FOBANE” in the south-western Indian Ocean which drags winds from the Somali coast and Congo forest.
Advisory:
Sea users and Residents of high risk areas are advised to take necessary precautions.
Remarks:
TMA will continue to monitor the situation and issue updates when necessary.
